PRESS RELEASE: Russian Business Forum

June 6, 2013

The Ireland Russia Business Association and Enterprise Ireland will host a Russian Business Forum this Friday, 7th June 2013 at Enterprise Ireland’s Head Office in East Point Business Park, Dublin 3.

Mr. John Perry TD, Minister for Small Business will deliver the keynote address and speakers and panellists will include representatives from CRH, NT-MDT, Moscow Financial University, Bank of Ireland and the Irish Translators and Interpreters’ Association.

H.E. Ambassador of Russia to Ireland Mr. Maxim Peshkov will attend and participate in the discussions along with his colleagues from the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Ireland.

Speaking in advance of the Forum Minister Perry said:

CSO figures are showing that Irish companies are increasing their presence in Russia.  Figures for 2012 show exports increased 19% year on year from 2011 and 61% from 2010.  Nearly half of these exports are created by indigenous companies who are clients of Enterprise Ireland. These figures confirm that doing business in Russia is an important part of the Government’s exports and jobs programme.

Support for Irish companies seeking to export to Russia is delivered by Enterprise Ireland’s office in Moscow and their High Growth team in Dublin. Government initiatives such as the Ireland-Russia Joint Economic Commission have highlighted key opportunities in the Aviation, Construction, Education, ICT, Food and Agricultural Technologies sectors.

This event is free of charge, however registration is required.
