First easyJet flights from Manchester to Moscow now on sale

December 14, 2012

The first easyJet scheduled flights between Manchester, UK, and Moscow, Russia, went on sale yesterday (December 13, 2012). The airline will operate four flights each way per week from March 28, 2013. Paul Simmons, UK director, easyJet, said that 60,000 passengers are expected onboard the new service in the first year.

“We know that our passengers want to fly directly from their nearest airport rather than having to connect through London – particularly time sensitive business travellers. The new transport link has been welcomed by the business community in the North West – with Russia’s fast growing economy it offers so many opportunities for local companies,” he stated. Simmons expects the new route to prove “very popular with leisure and business passengers alike”.
