Breakfast Briefing: “How Well Do You Know Russia?”

This seminar provides a unique opportunity to learn about Russia – the largest country in the world geographically, the ninth largest by population and eleventh by GDP. Key international stores have opened in major cities and retail growth has been phenomenal over the last ten years. Like the rest of the world, there have been recent economic challenges, but with its vast energy resources Russia is well placed now to continue its remarkable growth. It takes determination, flexibility, stamina and hard work, but success in Russia is achievable.

Speakers: Our guest speaker, Chris Fussey works for Russianality, a firm specialising in strategic business development and planning for small to medium sized businesses wishing to enter the Russian market. Chris has 15 years’ experience developing business in Russia, in market sectors including domestic applicances, renewable energy, construction, professional services, packaging, food and software. Chris will help provide attendees who are considering exploring opportunities in the Russian market with a better understanding of it, giving an overview of how to develop your business there – looking at aspects such as language and business culture, barriers to entry, contact building, marketing & research.

Vivian Duff, Business Development Manager of Systnet Global Solutions will share his experience on the development of business in Russia.

Note: On June 9th, Inese Anderson of Gateway Baltic will also be available for personal meetings with companies interested to grow in the Nordic countries, Baltics and/or Russia.
